Vitamin D For Breastfed Babies

One of the great things about breastfeeding is how great it is for your body. It’s amazing to think how our body can produce the nutrients our babies need to thrive! Did you know your breastmilk gives your babe antibodies that fight germs? Super cool! One thing I didn’t realize was that while breastmilk does contain just about everything your baby needs it doesn’t provide enough Vitamin D for our sweet babes.
You can read more on Vitamin D for Breastfeeding Infants here. But basically, according to the CDC and AAP recommend breastfed and partially-breastfed infants get 400 IU per day of Vitamin D to support healthy bones and to prevent weak or deformed bones.
This is where Mommy’s Bliss comes in for us. You may be thinking “yeah, yeah a sponsored post…” BUT I have loved Mommy’s Bliss BEFORE becoming an ambassador for them. They saved me many tears and sleepless nights with their gripe water so it’s not surprise we went straight to them for our other vitamin needs.

They sent us some of their Vitamin D Organic Drops and they couldn’t be any easier to use. It’s just one drop per day. That’s it. I literally put one drop on my nipple before breastfeeding and voila. He’s got his Vitamin D for the day. Easy Peesy!
If you are doing bottles or using pacifiers, you can place one drop on there or mix with formula, juice, or solids. It’s crazy easy for anyone to use. What is in it? 100% Vegan Ingredients, Vitamin D, and organic sunflower oil.
Once again (no surprise) Mommy’s Bliss delivers. Thank you for keeping my babies safe and healthy!

XOXO,
Ashley

Vitamin D is a struggle for everyone. I know I have a deficiency and it just has so much to do with my health. Trying to get more through leafy greens is a good way to boost your own.
I love the mommy’s bliss brand and you are so right their gripe water is a life saver. I will definitely be adding this to my list for my newborn.
