Radio Flyer Tricycle

DSC_0070.JPGIt doesn’t get more classic than a Radio Flyer bike. They have been the leading brand in the realm of tricycles and wagons for decades and for good reason.

It came ready to use with no assembling required. It feels incredibly sturdy. It rides so smooth and turns easily. The seat is made to grow with your kiddo so it should work for kids 2-5 years. And really, by 5 I would think I would be moving Isla up to a big girl bike anyways so that’s not a problem. I know this bike will last too so little bro (and any future siblings) can use it as well.

My daughter received this for her 2nd birthday and loves it! She was more than willing to share all of her birthday toys…except for this one! 🙂

Right now, it is the most played with toy in our home. I love that it works on gross motor skills and increases her activity. Yay for burning off some of that crazy toddler energy! 🙂 Since she can’t pedal just yet or go too terribly fast, we have been letting her ride around the house with it and up and down halls. It hasn’t scratched up any flooring and is really quiet/not squeaky.

She isn’t quite to the stage where she knows how to pedal, but she tries. She can definitely still independently use this bike despite that. She just pushes herself off the ground. I try to teach her to pedal by pushing her while her feet are on the pedals. I can tell she is slowly getting it!

This trike is the perfect height for her to hop on and off all by herself. It builds her confidence because it is so sturdy. She rides this thing easily every single day and has yet to tip over out of it.

If you asked her, her favorite part would be the awesome storage trunk on the bike. You know, because toddlers have all sorts of necessities to lug around. She loves putting anything and everything in there. Her favorites are her jewels, stuffed animals, and baby dolls. My only warning: make sure they don’t leave any half eaten apples in it. Speaking from a friend’s experience of course…. 😉

We actually bought our’s from Walmart and it was just under $40. We haven’t had to put it away yet because it’s used sooo much but it can be folded and even hung on a hook for easy storage.

This is one of those toys that I don’t really see any negatives to. We love our’s and recommend it over and over again. It’s a classic toy to have for your kiddo and will last a long time. I had always thought these would be pricey but $40 for a name-brand, highly rated toy? That’s a no-brainer in my opinion.

You can get your’s here.
