Buckle Me Baby Coat
Gone are the days of STRUGGLING with keeping your kiddo warm in the car without a coat. Anyone else feel me? The struggle of carrying your child from the car to the store, carrying your purse, diaper bag, AND trying to keep your little one warm by covering them with a blanket all while they squirm everywhere??

Obviously many of us agree that safety is more important than convenience. This is why we don’t put our babies or kiddos in coats in a car seat. That’s where the Buckle Me Baby Coat comes in: completely safe for the car seat and keeps your kiddo warm. It’s amazing and I highly recommend to those of you who can relate to the above.
Winter coats are considered unsafe by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the NHTSA. The puffy fabric leaves too much space between your child and the straps. During an accident, the fabric compresses leaving a lot of space that the straps will not harness and hold your child properly.
The founder, Dahlia, came up with this innovative idea of having a side opening for the coat. No more zipper in the middle. With the side opening, there is no more excess fabric under the straps. I also love that she thought of the shoulder pads too. I think it would be easy to overlook but she realized that having padding there could also be a safety hazard and has the shoulder pads unbuckle as to allow the car seat straps to fit appropriately on the baby/child.
My favorite feature is the option to either cover your kiddo up to keep them work in the seat OR you can simply roll it and there is a velcro strip to hold it there. This is great in case it’s too warm in the car and they don’t want to be covered but you don’t want to take their coat completely off.
Speaking of velcro, there is velcro next to the buttons making it easy to cover your kiddos with the coat. I love this because it’s not really necessary to do all of the buttons for a road trip but you can have the more secure buttons closed when they are out running around in their coat. 🙂
Overall, it’s a super easy coat to use. It makes my errands feel less frazzled (THANK GOODNESS). As frazzled as I was, I wasn’t going to compromise safety for my convenience. I am thankful to Buckle Me Baby Coats because I didn’t have to.
The coats come in sizes from 12 months-8. My daughter is 15 months and is wearing a size 18 months. It’s a little long on her but I sized up. I was afraid a 12 month coat would either be too tight or not fit long enough to get us through the winte
The coats run from about $89 and up. Compared to other brands on the market, this is much more affordable. The color in our pictures is Indie GO-GO-GO. I would like to say the color is SOO pretty in person. It was really difficult to capture the true color on my camera but man, it’s gorgeous and even has a teal emblem on the arm too 🙂
