The Perfect Spring Transition Coat

This weather has been so awful lately. Just rain. Nonstop. We got lucky the weekend before Easter to have no rain and a little bit of sunshine, so we grabbed out One Kid Transition Coat and booked it to an Easter Egg Hunt. 🙂

The OneKid Transition Coat is the PERFECT “in between” coat. It’s not quite cold enough for a full down coat, but not quite warm enough to do without- so our transition coat is a must.

The exterior is wind and rain-resistant made out of a polyester shell fabric while the inside is lined with a soft jersey knit fabric for added warmth and comfort. I know I personally don’t like that plastic-y feel some rain coats have. With the lining inside, you eliminate that and add some warmth for those colder Spring days. 20180330_154659

One of my favorite features was the hidden hood 🙂 Just because it wasn’t raining that morning, didn’t mean we were guaranteed no rain. All you have to do is simply lift a Velcro piece on the neckline in the back to reveal the store away hood. Just roll it up and close it when you aren’t using it. Easy-peasy!

I feel like most people know nowadays that winter coats are unsafe to be used in the car seat. I think it is also easy to let our guards down with spring coats. It’s easy to forget that we are still putting extra layers in between our child and the car seat straps; thus, potentially putting our children at a risk if there were ever to be an accident. These coats aren’t only incredibly functional but they are also safe for car seats!

They are crash-tested. They have the double front zipper construction similar to their Road Coat. There is also a super handy red line to show you where the correct chest clip position should be.

The price point for these is just $43.99 on their website: onekid.com. They come in sizes 12 months through size 6. They have a variety of solid colors: green, black, blue, and pink. They also have a few fun patterns to choose from: navy dinosaur, light pink flower, and aqua unicorn print. With so many choices, it’s even easier to find a style for your little one that they will love. My daughter can’t leave the house without her jacket. She loves it!

I highly recommend. The price is cheap, the colors are super vibrant and fun, and the transition coat is safe for use in car seats. It doesn’t get much better than that! <3
