Bluey Halloween
Halloween is coming and you have PLENTY of time to make this affordable Bluey and Bingo decor!

here they are! I think they turned out adorable. I’ll attach a video of step by step but truly, it’s an easy job if you’re cool with cutting wood!
Supplies:
outdoor acrylic paint $.50/color Michael’s
Paint sample $3.50/color Ace
polyurethane $12ish from Walmart
paint pens for details or just use black paint and a thin brush
Plywood (1/3 of it will be used)

- I found clipart of Bluey & Bingo Halloween clipart and printed in poster size so they each measure at 3.5 ft tall and will fit side by side on a sheet of plywood with PLENTY leftover.
- cut out stencil, draw it on plywood. Basically like a puzzle. I traced with a pencil. Watch the video if you don’t get what I mean. 🙂
- Cut the shape out of the wood
- Prime the wood
- Paint! I bought paint from Michael’s that was outdoor acrylic paint and Ace Hardware paint. I’ll list the colors below.
- seal with polyurethane
- Glue strips of wood to the back and screw those in to build a stake for the ground.

Bluey and Bingo paint colors
Bluey: Navy, pale blue, bright blue, white, black, and antique white. I mixed colors to create the grey to show a contrast and detailing on his cape. I used these paint pens for the detailing and that helped so much! The paint was only $.50 & I only needed one of each. So while it’s a lot of colors, it’s not crazy expensive
Bingo: peach, antique white, brown, white, black and green. I went to ace to get the right shade of oranges for Bingo. I ordered two different colors in paint samples for only $3.50/each. I went with Pennies from Heaven and Orange Groves. For the other shade of orange I mixed peach and antique white. 🧡

I sealed with polyurethane and it’s fast dry so I just painted it on after it was staked in the ground bc I’m impatient 🤣 This is exactly how I made my grinch Christmas decor and he has lasted 7 years with no issues so I’m pumped to have this ready for many years to come!
