I had soo much fun planning my little one’s first birthday! We went with a mermaid theme and it was instant love. I had an adorable mermaid romper and felt like a birthday called for something bigger than a bow. That’s when I found this Mermaid Party Hat on pinterest! It was instant love. I was super sad when it said it was out of stock. I decided to take a gamble and message the etsy seller, KayleeGirl Bows and she said she would order the materials right away and make this for me anyways!
I am so glad she did.
I feel like this hat really tied together her whole party. Since she is so little, we did her cake smash in her high chair so you couldn’t really see her mermaid outfit. This party hat was the perfect accessory to really complete our cake smash pictures and show off our mermaid party.
I was super shocked that my daughter kept this on. She normally pulls off every single bow that reaches her head but not this hat. It was wonderful! I think this was because the elastic was very soft and never bothered her sensitive skin once. I was so pleased to get some awesome pictures with her in the hat!
The elastic fit great on my 1 year old. It wasn’t too loose or too long. It didn’t leave any red marks on her chin from the straps. It really held the hat on securely though and it never tipped over like I worried it would. YAY 🙂
The details on this hat are incredible. Kaylee really did a fabulous job. I sent her pictures of her outfit and she made sure that it all matched. I am so pleased with the customer service and how she takes pride in each detail of her product.
This hat has a green scale fabric wrapped around with chiffon flower accents and ruffles. It has a gold #1 on the front and a purple gem on the top of the hat to complete the look. I would normally expect with something handmade and so substantial that it would be heavy but it was considerably light!
I love shopping small business. I think it’s awesome to support their growing companies. I also love that handmade items are typically high-quality and that is exactly what you are getting with this party hat. Everything about it is well-done and you can tell each piece of the hat was carefully made by someone who truly values their handiwork.
What’s also amazing: the price is wonderful. This hat was only $27 + shipping. Speaking of shipping: It was super fast. She even shipped it priority (I didn’t pay for it) because she wanted to ensure it got here in time. WOW!
